Dead Files

A different twist...
The Dead Files is a unique perspective in an exhausted genre. A former NYC detective goes in and does his investigative thing much like what would happen with a cold case.
The psychic medium, usually in the "dead" of night precedes him, with a cameraman who precedes her to make sure there is nothing in the building that would prejudice her initial reactions; what she's picking up, etc. She, Amy, goes through the building as she is impressed and picks up the energies. She empathically takes them on and very often gets a sketch artist to draw who or what she feels is the main culprit causing the disturbance.
At the end of the show she then joins her detective partner and they sit down with the owners to go over their findings in The Reveal.
I think it's very well done. They have gone to great lengths not to "cross contaminate" the evidence with the ethereal.
I do feel concern for Amy because when she takes on, literally, these entities, she does it empathically...

Dead Files
This dvd set does not include every episode of the first season, but it is still a great collection. I Love this show!
